Frequently asked questions
Standard turnaround is 24–36 hours from when we have everything we need to engineer the project. Submit before 10 AM ET and request same-day rush for a 50% expedite fee on the base. Weekend submissions enter the queue Monday morning.
At a minimum: a rendering or drawing of the sign with key dimensions, the project address, and your contact info. The intake form asks for sign-type-specific details (wall construction, pole height, footing preference, etc.) and lets you upload PDFs, PNGs, JPGs, or DWGs up to 50 MB.
We produce the sealed, permit-ready engineering drawings. We don't pull the permit on your behalf — that's typically done by the sign company or general contractor with the local permit office. If your permit office comes back with revision comments, we handle the revision round.
We currently hold active PE licenses in 30+ states. See the full list on the States page. If your state isn't listed, contact us — in many cases we can arrange a reciprocal license or partner with a locally-licensed engineer.
Revisions requested by the client (changing dimensions, materials, or configuration after we've engineered) are billed per revision round starting at $135. Revisions required by the permit office to address a code comment are typically included.
Yes — submit before 10 AM ET, request same-day rush in the form, and we'll deliver before close of business that day. Same-day rush is a 50% expedite fee on the base engineering price.
Contact us. We add new state licenses on a regular cadence, and we can also arrange a partnership with a locally-licensed engineer in many states. The economics depend on the state — we'll give you an honest answer fast.
We invoice on project completion. Payment by ACH, check, or credit card (3% surcharge on credit cards). Net 15 for established accounts. New customers typically pay on delivery.
Both. We work with everyone from one-truck sign shops doing 10 permits a year to multi-state franchise programs running hundreds of sites. The process is the same — submit, engineer, deliver.
PDFs, PNGs, JPGs, and DWG files. PDFs and DWGs are easiest because they're vector — but a clear, dimensioned PNG or JPG works fine. Up to 50 MB total per submission.
Sometimes — depends on the quality of the drawings and whether they meet code. We'll review and either stamp as-is, mark up revisions needed, or rebuild from your concept. Contact us with the drawings for an honest read.
Yes. We keep your engineering file indefinitely. If you need a re-stamp for a future location, a revival of an old project, or a copy of the original drawings, just contact us with the project name and we'll find it.
